Stylist Paul Percival, co-founder of London salon Percy & Reed PercyandReed. com is the man behind Cheryl’s new style. Paul has spoken out on why Cheryl opted for the change after many have compared it to the 90’s ‘The Rachel’ from U.S comedy Friends.
Percival stated that he can see how the two styles may seem similar insisted Cheryl’s is much more versatile than the as with shorter-length textured haircuts you have to be realistic about how much time you’re willing to put in.
“Thankfully, Cheryl’s new style is much easier to maintain. The key is to be honest when talking to your hairdresser. With shorter-length textured haircuts you have to be realistic about how much time you’re willing to put in,” he says. Paul is Cheryl’s regular stylist and is responsible for her looks on The X Factor.
“We tried out so many looks thanks to the X Factor and her latest album. We got to a point where we didn’t want to keep redoing styles and wanted to try something new,”
The change came whilst she was waiting backstage on The Graham Norton Show for their comic relief special
